In view of the importance of welding process being a basic method for connecting the junctions and steel structures in most of the industrial projects, Al-Infiraj Group (Sunshine Co.) has paid a great attention to the subject of providing the requirements of the various welding processes concerning welding machines, welding wires and electrodes and other accessory materials and equipments, in addition to the welding joints testing equipments. The Group has submitted several offers for the State and the private companies for the supply of welding machines and equipments from specialized global origins that fulfill the quality and reliability requirements, as well as training the engineering and the technical cadres on the commissioning and maintenance of the devices at the manufacturers' sites and the field supervision on performing various welding processes for erecting large fuel storage tanks and connecting the pipelines of crude oil, petroleum derivatives and various fluids transportation.

The group currently endeavors, in cooperation with the bodies concerned inland and the technical and scientific bodies abroad, to erect a welding mill in Iraq that undertakes the qualification and evaluation of welders and the testing of welding joints regarding the quality and other mechanical properties, in addition to holding symposiums and lectures for educating modern welding methods and the adopted quality control measures.
