One of the means that takes a distinguishable solicitude of our Group for the time being is the exploitation of solar energy, by which Iraq might be characterized as one of the countries where such energy is abounded throughout the year with numerous hours through single day.

The solar energy power generation is considered as one of the cleanest power generation means that leaves no damage to the environment; therefore the whole world concentrates on such mean as for environment protection.

With respect to the multiple problems faces the power generation in Iraq due to several reasons and the consequent power shortage; Al-Infiraj Group observes it necessary to concentrate on introducing this technique and attempting to provide the consumers inland with applicable systems, as for assembling method and cost, from a well recognized manufacturers.

The operation principle of solar energy power generation relies on placing a set of solar cells, made of semiconductors in the form of panels. Once these panels are exposed to sunlight a voltage is produced which shall be collected from all panels through certain connection. Consequently, an electrical power will be generated which can be transferred to the electrical installations of home, mill or any other utility.

The generated power can be accumulated in batteries or capacitors in order to be used in times where sunlight is not available (at night or weather day).

Inverter is another part of the system in addition to the panel and battery. It transforms the electrical current from DC to AC.
